WORKING LONGER HOURS INCREASES STROKE RISK BY UP TO 33% (AS REPORTED BY FINANCE.YAHOO.COM)

Working more hours is seen by many as a way to earn more money, but it may have consequences that will make you think twice about whether or not it’s the right option for you. In a recent study published by The Lancet, both men and women who consistently worked 55 or more hours per week were 33% more likely to have a stroke and 13% more likely to develop heart disease.

The reason for the increased risk to your health was not stated directly in the study, though doctors agree it is likely due to the higher stress levels of individuals who work longer hours.
